Entry: I Think Therefore I Am, Therefore I Think I'll Have a Beer... Monday, September 12, 2005

I'm having another one of those 'my brain hurts' kind of days.  The company I work for is in financial trouble, and although I'm not worried that I'm going to be unemployed anytime soon, I may lose my cushy office job and be back on the production floor.

That could have some advantages...no stress...no deadlines...make my parts and go home.

It would also have some disadvantages...pay cut...being in pain when I go home every day...no longer using my brain at work...

Ugh...everyone at home seems to think that I'll be OK, but I'm not sure right now.  With what's going on at work, no one is safe.  Oh well, I guess as long as they still let me come inside the plant when I come to work, it's OK.

My plant manager says that, if you're going to be affected, you'll know by Friday.  That's great to have an answer, but it makes for a long week.

You're right, Key Man, it is Bush's fault somehow...I just haven't had the energy to explain just how it's his fault...maybe in a few days!

Sorry to read about the job insecurity. I'm sure it's Bush's faulty on some level! I hope everything turns out OK for you.

I agree Buzz. I'd certainly rather watch the Holy Grail than read Plato again. Plato had no sense of humor....albatross...get your albatross...what flavor is it?

I was going to say something,
both sympathetic and witty,
but I took your quote to heart,
now my brain it works quite shitty.

That there is likely to be the only thing I type resembling a poem this decade. Feel free to gloat that it was written for you.

Oh, stimpy, Python by a damn sight. History has yet to reveal that Socrates ever said or wrote anything even nearly as bloody brilliant as the Dead Parrot sketch.

"Socrates himself is particularly missed....a lovely little thinker, but a bugger when he's pissed!"

Ren...that sucks, a lot, but at least you will still have a job. And remember..."Rene Descarte was a drunken fart, I drink therefore I am"
